JWT let the company slide for way too long. He's a great public speaker and persona but didn't manage the business tightly enough. Would've needed Enrique or someone like him in COO role already much earlier. Maybe the Chairman role fits him better anyway.

You can't be a person dedicated only to sales and run a knowledge based company. He should learn more about what the company is making. maybe then he will understand our problems and rectify them.

John is a sales guy at heart. I don't think he's given much credit to us in the PM and engineering ranks. He wasn't connected to the business (at least in the old Veritas-heritage units) for the past couple of years. Seems like he spent most of his time doing relationship-building with politicians, other industry players, etc. I don't think he ever really understood our products (except for consumer A/V).
It's amazing that he has lasted thru the crises in the past few years. Must be because of his political skills (or perhaps because of his double-role as Chairman and CEO...).

This man is single handedly changed the entire vision of the company. He remains my hero and I am sure his efforts will silence the critics

Well i am sure we could have found some better person as the CEO but the company chose John. The results are not the best and I am in a fix whether to continue here or leave.
