Compuware is not a huge company and that is a very comforting thing for me. The place where I worked earlier was so huge and had so many people working there that I used to feel I am inside a crowd and may get lost soon. This company however has a nice and comforting atmosphere where I can do my work in a relaxed way. Luckily my manager is also a considerate guy and takes care of all the members in his team.

I find it hard to express how poor Compuware is. Speak to anyone who has worked at Compuware or is a stakeholder - it is universal - there is a tremendous amount of bad will relating to Compuware. Mistreated customers, staff, blue collar micro management culture. Just look at how badly educated any of teh execs at Compuware are. Not one Ivy league or equivalent qualification among them. The worst that Detroit can offer......

Compuware used to be a nice place to work before the management started to poke its nose in very activity which actually messed up the total office environment. I am still continuing with my hard work whereas some intelligent guys have found out that the only thing you need to do for raises is to grease your boss. This means that one of my juniors got promoted though I am still at my earlier position. No one is actually interested in the company but is busy with their own personal goals.

I beg the management to get some leaders or else we will be in trouble very soon. We really need some guys who know the tricks of people management and bring the old family friendly company back on its track instead of turning it into a grinding machine where all of us have to forget our families and spend all our time at work. I understand that the company’s financial status is forcing it to downsize but instead of throwing efficient workers we need to lose some of the over paid people occupying high positions.

I am ashamed to say this but it is true that the thing I like most about Compuware is the gym and the cafeteria in the office. Earlier we used to have great Christmas parties and family picnics which made us feel like a part of the Compuware family but all that is gone now and the company is definitely losing its edge. To get its old form back the senior management has to start thinking beyond products and solutions and give some importance to professional services. The level of corruption has increased severely inside the company.
