The people who run this company are going all out to destry it. I have been telling my manager that we need to change our sales policies or we will never be able to beat the competition. But he simply refuses to hear anything. There is no way for a junior like me to reach the guys who matter. So I have no way to help the company I work in.

I just hated the place most because of it review policies. As the salary was tied to the score card which was to how I pleased my boss, I rarely got a good score despite working hard! and all these because I did not bow down to him!!

There is huge competition in the cell phone market and Motorola no more has any chance of regaining its leadership position. The company management is so busy with their own personal benefits they fail to notice the rate at which the other companies are capturing the market. No one is really thinking about breaking free from all the protocols and doing something new that will impress all the customers. I feel sad to see the sorry state of affairs in my office and with no one encouraging us we also never get the urge to try real hard.

Over the years, Motorola gradually replaced visionary leaders who had a passion for impacting society with technology, with process managers recruited from the outside who are managing the bottom line without any understanding or ability to make real market impact. The innovation engine has been dismantled and has collapsed beyond repair. The company has thus declined to the point that fear and the resulting politics of fear predominate.
I have worked in most of Motorola's sectors at one time or another for two decades rising from entry engineer to a director's position. I have a fondness for the people and for Motorola's heritage, nevertheless, I left. My emotions said "stay" but my intellect said "go".
As a successful investor, business leader, and long-time career coach of my people I have some simple advice:"cut your losses" and invest yourself elsewhere. The world needs your talents. Don??™t waste them.
The pilots of this company are attempting simply to minimize the damage in the impending crash landing.
