There are many people working here who have been working for more than five years and lost touch with the latest technologies. They feel insecure when they have to work with juniors. This is the reason I think that they will be greatly benefited if the company arranged some trainings to keep them updated.

I am new to the job but already in love with it! The atmosphere here is very relaxed and cordial while being professional to the core. I guess the stringent interviews are the reason that only good people get hired here.

At QUALCOMM I always felt that there was someone breathing down my neck and never did I feel free to do my work. The management does not believe in giving any freedom to the employees and someone is always there keeping an eye on you. I felt so suffocated in that atmosphere that I quit my job. The pay was also very poor and it was very difficult to meet the expenses of my family.

You'd have to work very hard to find a better place to work for. Although everyone's own experience may vary - you'd see people here are very helpful and very smart. What distinguishes QC from any other company is their management - where the top management is technically very solid (founders were professors and stalwarts in their field, current CEO is also a UC Berkeley PhD). You can't get promoted to QC's top management if you are not really good at what you do which is the real secret to QC's success. People who bad-mouth Qualcomm here - I suspect they are not very technically savvy and they may very well feel left-out.

QUALCOMM was once a good place to work but gradually it is losing its shine and corruption is taking over. I am amazed to see people who were earlier ready to work hard for the improvement of the company have now become self centered and are busy keeping their positions safe. The management needs to wake up and notice whatever is going on around them or the company will be going downhill pretty soon. I will leave this job as soon as the market condition improves.

I have been working at QUALCOMM for quite a long time now and I really feel that we need to hire some new people instead of constantly training and retraining the people we have here. I have been sent for so many training sessions dealing with different technologies that now I am confused about everything I know which leaves me with very less confidence whenever I start any work. If the company gave us training in one or two specific technologies and hired other people with specialized knowledge in other fields then it would be much easier to work here.

The people at QUALCOMM are the best coworkers I ever had and they go out of their way to make you feel at home. The company offers one of the greatest pay packages and I simply love all the benefits I get working here. All my senior staff is extremely well trained and is very competent at their job and this motivates me to excel at my work. The company always encourages me to take part in the online training courses thereby helping me to learn a lot of new technologies and advance in my career.
